Hello, my name is _______, I live in Portland in District ___ and am calling to ask that Mayor Wilson settle CPPW’s contract now.

[Choose your talking points below]

  • Portland needs the services CPPW members provide.
  • CPPW workers are essential to the city serving people like me.
  • Their work is part of the City’s Renaissance and is critical to the City’s success.
  • CPPW workers deserve fair compensation, respect, and a stable future.
  • Real wage increases have to be a priority so these workers can live in the city they serve.
  • Stop costly turnover by keeping jobs stable and fairly compensated.

I am calling on you to avert the strike and settle a fair contract for the benefit of all Portlanders.

Thank you.

Community support for the strike

We need your support on the strike line. Sign up to donate food, drinks, supplies, or donate to the hardship fund. Share the donation opportunity with your friends and family!

Host a remote worker, or be hosted!

Are you a CPPW member who is a fully remote worker and considering coming to Portland to picket, but don’t have a place to stay for the night?

Or maybe you’re a local member who has an extra bedroom in your home that isn’t being used and would be willing to host a remote CPPW member for a day or two?

Your Strike Support Committee would like to hear from you! We’re setting up a Local Link program to connect remote workers who do not live in Portland with local short-stay host members. Interested members can contact Kati Robb for more details and coordination.
