About the hardship fund
This fund will not replace the paycheck of every striking CPPW member. It will be available to help workers facing serious financial hardship cover necessities like housing, food, utilities, and medical expenses. CPPW members rely on each other to stay strong in a strike, and fundraising a substantial hardship fund allows us to achieve success.
The Executive Board has already seeded $10,000 into this fund, and all donations from labor partners, community members, or CPPW members themselves into our existing Venmo and PayPal accounts will be added to the fund.
A committee of CPPW member volunteers is developing guidelines and an application now.
