KGW: Unionized Portland city workers set to strike Nov. 9

“Our members have showed up for this City through everything it has asked of them — through Covid, through financial crises, and the charter transition — and they are not asking for anything more than a fair contract and parity with our union siblings,” said CPPW Union President Kari Koch. “We would prefer to be at work providing the services Portlanders depend on, but there was no movement from the City in the Nov. 4 session to avert the strike.”
